The boat is solidly constructed of larch planking on massive oak frames, iron-fastened.

The engine was fitted new by Watermota in 2000 as a complete propulsion package with new gearbox, exhaust, prop shaft and propeller. Since then, after cruising the Mediterranean for ten years, the engine has only done 1,250hrs. All recommended services have been carried out.
Traditional spoked wooden steering wheel, two folding helmsmans seats, full-sized chart table on plan chest with storage for numerous charts. Navigational equipment includes radar, navtex, VHF, two depth sounders, one with fishfinder, compass, large colour GPS equipped with C-Maps, barometer and clock. Safety equipment includes four-man liferaft, several automatic life jackets flares and EPIRB.
Large galley area with varnished oak lockers with storage for extended cruising. 12v fridge, Origo electric/spirit hob, electric oven, folding oak worktop, sink with pressurized hot and cold water, draining sink and Seagull water filtration system for safe, clean drinking water anywhere in the world.
Spacious saloon area with numerous lockers, bookshelves and folding teak dining table. The cabin was rebuilt in 2002 out of marine ply on mahogany and iroko frames. Fourteen opening bronze portholes and two opening hatches were added.
One double cabin with vanity unit/office area. The lazarette, whilst normally used for storing spare ropes, fenders etc, has been used frequently as an extra double cabin.
Blakes marine toilet with Lectrasan sewage treatment device, shower and 20 litre stainless steel boiler.
Shore power hook up, Mastervolt Whisper 3.5kw digitally controlled generator 700hrs from new. This generator has numerous safety features to prevent it from inadvertently being overloaded or underloaded. It can also be programmed to self-start at the owner’s convenience. Both shore power and generator run through Mastervolt control box, Mastervolt 2kw inverter and Mastervolt battery chargers, 24 volt for engine starter battery bank and 12 volt for the 450 amp hour domestic bank. The engine has two alternators 24V for starter batteries and very high output 12V alternator for domestics. On the wheelhouse roof are eight 1kw solar panels, new in 2006 and designed to be walked on.
Engine housed in sound proof box with internal automatic fire extinguishers, two child-sized bunks along the side of engine box. Fuel is stored in two 500 litre aluminium fuel tanks, which were specially built in 2000, they are equipped with water traps and pre-filters, are about half full and have never suffered from diesel bug. The water tanks hold approximately 700 litres and are made of stainless steel, also new in 2000. There is also a separate 100 litre fuel tank for the generator and heater with back boiler for central heating.
Anchor windlass is a manual Simpson and Lawrence Even Load, 2 gear winch with 100 metres of 13mm chain attached to a further 100 metres of anchor rope 75kg cast iron military Danforth anchor. We have anchored for approximately 1,500 nights in various weather conditions and have never dragged the anchor. It is always easy to get the anchor back into its hawser. There is a deck crane that is rated for 300kg and is perfect for stowing the tender on the cabin roof. Six bronze prismatic deck lights give natural daylight to the engine room. Davits for the tender at the stern.

After returning from the Med via the French canals, the boat is presently on a permanent mooring in Carentan. Normandy and is ideally located for cruising back through the French canals to the Mediterranean, crossing the channel or pottering around to Brittany and the Channel Islands.
