    Falmouth - Working Boat
28' Ferro Cement Falmouth Working Boat 'Agnes'. Currently lying on her moorings in Falmouth, 'Agnes' is a well known and loved boat locally. Designed by the renowned Percy Dalton, and built in Penryn in 1979 to a professional specification, Agnes has proven to be a very quick boat in the Falmouth Working Boat class, winning the Falmouth-Fowey passage race twice in the last three years, as well as many other trophies over the years. She also proved a very capable oyster dredger in her early days. Carrying 1000 sq ft of sail, and measuring 28', with a 9'6" beam, she is a very powerful boat, but looks after her crew with good manners. After putting much time and love into 'Agnes,' the time has come for me to pass her on to a new custodian, and a new chapter in her life, as I pursue other projects. The Falmouth Working Boats are famous throughout the world for being the pinnacle of performance when it comes to gaffers. This is a very rare opportunity to buy one of these remarkable boats, and become part of what is also a very special class.
