Originally built by Blackstones of Bideford, Devon in 1949 as a Trinity House general service launch, her robust construction and attractive lines made her ideal for conversion into this gaff rigged motor sailer.  She has been built to an exacting standard and the previous owners have authentically rigged her in every detail.  She was stripped to a bare hull and entirely re-built by her previous owner between 1999 and 2005, since when she has been cruising the West Coast of Scotland. Years of boat building and sailing experience are well demonstrated in the design, construction and quality of finish.  She is a stunning vessel and must be seen to fully appreciate what is truly a work of art.

    Accommodation

The accommodation is 5/6 berths in 3 cabins with 1 heads.

The Forecabin - Double 'V' berth with shelves outboard and storage underneath.

Saloon Access - The saloon is accessed from the aft pilothouse via a low passageway on the stbd side.  There is a raised shelf to the hullside of this corridor and electrical switch panel opposite.

Saloon - This is a lovely bright cabin with white wood panelling teak wood dining table and galley tops.  There is thoughtful detail in fixtures and fittings and good storage, including attractive cupboards and open book shelves.  The galley is situated to stbd and aft in the saloon.

Galley - A practical 'L' shaped galley with good storage for provisions and galley equipment.  There is a SMEV stainless steel 2 burner cooker with grill and oven, sink with manual fresh water system and ice box.  The work surfaces are in a beautiful rich varnished teak and the cupboards are practical and attractive; there is even a dedicated shallow racked cupboard for cooking spices.

Heads - The heads are situated to port opposite the galley with marine flushing toilet and wash basin with manual fresh water system.

Aft Pilthouse - The aft Pilothouse is accessed from the cockpit and has a single pilot berth to port under the side deck which can convert to a double berth for in-port use.  Opposite to stbd is a hanging locker with self-draining gas bottle locker at the aft end (CORGI certified fit).  This are can convert to a single berth.  There is also a large central forward facing chart table, the ships instrumentation and access to the under cockpit lazarette.

The structure internally is substantial yet the carpentry and the choice of teak for surfaces and trims and the T/G panelling leaves the boat feeling light, airy with a subtle amount of class.
