    The ETAP 21i has a surprisingly long water line (6.10 metres).

    With a displacement of 1,180 kg, dual rudder controls and a full 24 m² of sail area, the ETAP 21i has great appeal for competitive sailors.

    The ETAP 21i is a superb unsinkable family sailing yacht too: its superbly designed internal layout offers sleeping accommodation for 4 people, a roomy main cabin, a functional corner galley and ample stowage space.

    All ETAP yachts are being built as per ETAP.s unique double skinned construction. This makes them unsinkable, provides extra hull stiffness, insulates hull and deck to ensure almost condensation-free cabins and gives a unique interior finish.



    Laminate consisting of fibreglass-reinforced polyester; First layer of laminate made up of short separate glass fibres roving;

    Inner hull is bonded into the exterior hull; Polyurethane foam (with a minimum 95 % closed cells) is injected between the two hulls;

    Reinforcing and mounting plates in aluminium or stainless steel.


    Double-skinned and injected deck, covered with TBS non-slip material;

    Reinforced laminate and aluminium reinforcing plates at mounting positions of deck fittings;

    Aluminium toe rails along the entire length; open pulpit and split push pit in stainless steel;

    Stainless steel guard rail (45 cm high) with 2 stanchions and 2 amidships stanchions;

    Pad eyes fitted onto the amidships stanchions to serve as securing points for halyards when stepping and striking the mast;

    4 mooring cleats;

    The mast base rests on an integrated beam in the deck structure;

    2 genoa rails with 2 tracks;

    6 halyard clutches;

    2 winches with 1 winch handles on the coach roof for halyards and sheets; turning blocks to allow running rigging to be controlled from the cockpit; 3 folding pad eyes two attach the mainsheet onto the toe rail;

    Hull to deck connection

    The tension in the standing rigging is taken up by stainless steel tie rods on shroud plates in the hull; double securing of the hull to deck connection:

    The deck is first mechanically fixed to the hull and then bonded by means of reinforced polyester resin;

    Solid aluminium rubbing strake.

    All standing rigging in stainless steel with rolled cotter terminals and bottlescrews on deck; forestay, top and lower shrouds (Ø 4 mm), backstay

    Mainsail and jib halyard with D-shackle;

    Main sheet and 2 jib sheets;



    Partially battened mainsail (15.50 m²) with a free foot, a rounded leech, 2 sets of reefing points and ETAP-logo;

    the two upper battens extend from leech to luff, the two lower battens are shorter; 

    Removable lazy-bag with integrated lazy jacks - optional;

    Genoa 115 % (8.40 m2); both sails are fitted with tell-tales and leech tensioners.

    2 solid water tanks (2 x 10 l), transportable, located in the forepeak; a hand pump supplies water to the sink. 


    ETAP-tandem keel - draught 0.70 m;

    Mounting of the keel into a keel housing, forming an integral part of the hull and inner hull, resulting that the keel forces are maximally transferred onto the hull; keel is bolted through; stainless steel counter plates are mounted in the hull.

    Skin fittings

    Skin fittings in brass or stainless steel, with fast-closing ball valves;

    Reinforced hoses are attached with double stainless steel hose clamps.

    1 sliding hatch and 1 round acrylic outward-opening hatch on deck;

    Furniture in laminate, which is more resistant to scratches  and moisture, in light walnut;

    Maintenance-friendly and durable polyester inner deck eliminating the need for waterproof decorating materials;

    Removable dark coloured oak floorboards in laminate;

    Companionway with foldaway tread with non-slip panel; 

    Cushions in matching colours;
