Hunter Delta 25, ‘Twin fin’ bilge keels.
A development of the popular Sonata, the Delta has a few extra feet which allowed space for a sea toilet in private and a comfortable interior. She is fitted with the Hunter twin fins which give excellent sailing performance whilst retaining the ability to take the bottom to scrub off or sit out the tide.
Sleeps up to 5: Forepeak with a double V berth, storage under separated from the main cabin by a door. Head compartment with Lavac sea toilet and zipped privacy curtain. In the main cabin, there is a single settee berth to port and a double length settee berth to starboard (going under the cockpit). Light blue patterned fabric throughout.
Battery storage at the fwd end of the starboard berth. On the starboard side is the 12V panel. To port is the galley with a 2 burner gimballed Origo 3000 spirit hob, SS sink with manual water pump, storage underneath and behind unit, fold down work surface to the side.
The hull is coated in Blakes red 2 pack paint, professionally applied a number of years ago by Pedro’s on the Dart. This year I have cut back the surface with wet-or-dry to bring the red back from a milky pink. It has been polished a couple of times by hand but needs a good machine polish to bring it back fully. There is a mark in the paint about 5 inches long halfway down the port side where it rubbed a ladder when being craned into the water last year. Bottom Freshly antifouled.
