The boat has a Mercruiser 350 Mag MPI 300 BHP with Bravo 3 Stern drive with only a 180 hours use. The vessel has been lightly used and is in extremely good condition with a luxury specification. The vessel is located in Weymouth, Dorset and will be dry docked in November at Portland Harbour. Once dry docked the boat will be Valeted and de-winterized by a Mercruiser specialist. The mooring or dry dock can be transferred to the new owner if required at the buyer’s request.
A thorough pre-purchase and insurance survey was carried out in 2013 and the vessels estimated value was £42,000. This survey summaries the vessel as outstanding. I also have the original purchase receipt. The vessel was purchased for £57,355.
I am happy for a thorough water test if required and any inspection is welcome. There is a genuine reason for sale and the new owner will not be disappointed! This boat is stunning and most definitely turns heads!
The boat will be provided with many extras including life jackets, Black Majoni Fenders and tow ropes.
Below is a link to a small video of the boat on YouTube.
The boat can sleep 2 in the cabin and 2 on the converted cushioned deck. As a day boat cruiser the boat can host up to 10 in comfort. The kitchenette has a sink, stainless steel refrigerator and plenty of bench space. The addition of cherrywood cabinets add a luxury touch to an interior that is loaded with storage areas. Portlights and the overhead hatch provide good lighting and the hatch is fully screened to help with ventilation. The slip-in table converts the cockpit to a great outdoor dining area, while the same can be done in the cab where it's large enough to seat eight.
The swim platform has a tow point, boarding ladder and a reasonable amount of storage. The 255CCR has under-floor storage for skis and the handheld deck shower completes a very neat skiing and swimming package. The U-shaped cockpit lounge is extremely comfortable, with central access to the swim platform through fold-down cushions keeping dirty feet off the upholstery. There is plenty of freeboard, making the 255CCR very kid friendly. The U-shape design also lends itself well to observing skiers as does the swivel helm chairs.
Instrumentation is excellent and well laid out with speed, revs, temp, trim, fuel and more positioned high on the dash while trim tabs and switches are positioned to the sides of the wheel. Opening up the 300hp MerCruiser gave a top speed of 67kmh and cruising at 4200rpm has the boat pushing along at 44kmh. The boat is faultless on the plane and the high bow combines well with the weight of the vessel to insure a dry, smooth ride. The F.A.S.T Tab hull design incorporates a large reverse chine and planing plate to quickly lift the vessel out of the hole and have it planning high in the water.
The 255CCR hull was fitted with all the standard safety features with added foam to give the hull basic flotation. The 255CCR is also fitted with a high-water audio and visual alarm along with an automatic fire extinguisher system fitted to the engine compartment. This not only saves a life, but getting an engine fire out early can prevent a massive amount of damage.
