Lanaverre - 590
Vivace is a lovely boat and in good working condition. The mast, boom and jib's roller furling are all in good condition. The hull has minor knocks and scratches. The jib is in excellent condition. The main sail is older but still in very good usable condition. There is a spinnaker and also a spinnaker pole. The centreboard was new approximately four years ago.
Vivace has a shallow draft of 1'6" and with the centreboard down 4'10" which makes this boat ideal for sailing in shallow waters.
Vivace really is a cracking boat. Built in 1972, it is very well balanced and quick to reef and responds beautifully at any point of sail. I don't know how they managed to get so much space out of a 20ft boat - you can get four people in the unusually large cockpit and the same sat in the generous cabin.
The boat also has a set of cushions for the bunks inside, a chart table which pulls out, anchor and chain, spare ropes, a near new outboard, outboard bracket, sail cover, fenders, nav lights, automatic bilge pump, speed log and various other bits of kit. There is no trailer and the electronics are untested.
Vivace is currently at Underwoods Hard Boatyard in Brightlingsea where a swinging mooring is available.
I am selling Vivace with a Mariner 3.5hp, four-stroke, long shaft outboard engine purchased in August 2014. The outboard is in excellent condition and has only been use a few times.
I have had Vivace for 18 months and used it for day sailing and a few overnight trips which were very enjoyable. Due to other commitments I no longer have the time to make full use of the boat.
