This boat was built in 1984 by the Tyler Boat Company at their shipyard in Hoo, Kent. It was professionally fitted out by Johnson and Jago Ltd at Leigh on Sea, Essex. I bought the boat in April 2010 and have used it regularly for sea angling.Newhaven Sea Warriors were first built in Newhaven and were designed by Alan Hill who went on to design the famous Mitchell range of sea angling boats. The boat is moored at Sovereign Harbour Eastbourne and is in regular use for pleasure angling.
Economical to run Ford Sabre 120 6 cylinder diesel straight shaft drive. The engine has done less than 1400 hours in all. It has been regularly serviced by Peter Leonard Marine in Newhaven since I bought the boat in 2010. Cruises 9/10 knots, max 14 knots at 2,400 rpm.
Fuel is supplied from 3 interlinked stainless steel tanks with a total capacity of 90 gallons.

Hull: The hull is the semi-displacement type, with integral long keel and skeg supported rudder as can be seen in the accompanying photos.
Forward cabin and raised wheelhouse with 6ft headroom.
The forward cabin has several storage hatches, a galley, separate heads compartment to port, a hanging locker, four storage hatches, a tube heater and a single bunk to starboard. The galley has a Plastimo Neptune 4500 2 burner stove/grill, fireblanket and a small sink with electric tap. The gas bottle is stored in a dedicated locker near the stern and is drained through the transom. A Gas Safe Certificate of conformity was issued in 2011.
The wheelhouse has the helmsman's seat to port, a chart table to starboard with crew’s bench seat, 5A/34B portable fire extinguisher and several storage hatches. Heating in the wheelhouse is provided by an Eberspacher hot air system.
Safety Equipment: 3 lifejackets, Personal Locator beacon registered to the boat, life raft (not yet fitted), and radar reflector.
Ground tackle:- 10kg Bruce anchor with substantial length of chain and warp, emergency CQR plough anchor and a rock anchor.
A new anchor winch was fitted in 2013.
Weed box: Situated beneath the stern-most deck hatch is a weed box allowing inspection of the propeller.
This area also houses the emergency tiller mechanism.
A lot of documentation will be made available to the eventual buyer which supports the fact that the boat has been very well maintained over the years. It includes:- previous surveys, engine manual and spare parts listings, equipment manuals, instruction booklets and invoices in respect of regular engine servicings etc.
