1975 Westerly Berwick Bilge Keel Ketch
Reluctant sale due to an unfortunate accident in January leaving me with a broken thigh and now walking with a stick, so I can’t use the boat.
An excellent example of this well looked after, popular volumous boat by Westerly. Only 2 owners, present owner since 1976.
This boat has just been relaunched after having a new coat of antifoul and the hull has been professionally polished & waxed.

Sails & Rigging:
Stainless steel rigging with forestay roller reefing, main & mizzen sails, Spinnaker with chutescoop, spinnaker pole and all the gear that’s required.
The hull has undergone extensive work by professional M.A. Cobb in Sept 1998, coat of epoxy applied interfill 400 and three more coats of epoxy, hull antifouled hard applied.
Sprayhood and Dodgers, Main & Mizzen sail covers, boarding ladder to stern.
Plenty of cockpit storage. The long cockpit is surprisingly roomy for a ketch, with the mizzen mast stepped out of the way on top of the stout looking steering pedestal.
This boat sails exceptionally well with just the jib and mizzen in stronger winds. It has the feel of a boat that was designed to plough on relentlessly, regardless of conditions, including gales (and thats talking from experience!).
Anchor & chain with manual winch. The anchor chain is fed to a locker below which can be accessed through the forecabin.
Warps & fenders, horseshoe lifebuoys x2
