I have always been a lover of Fairey style boats having owned numerous Huntsmans. Swordsmans, Spearfishishes and Fantomes. The Solent Spear naturally appealed to me as it was the last boat designed by the legendary Fairey designer, Alan V Burnard.
You always know when you are on board a Burnard designed craft as the handling, dry ride and sea keeping are in my opinion, second to none.
I have had the engines serviced annually. Living locally, I visit the boat regularly (several times a week) to make sure she is kept in top line condition.
