The new Powercat 695 comes in three design layouts: open workboat; central cabin; or forward cuddy. Each Powercat 695 can be tailored for your application, whether it be private or commercial use. Come and talk to us ffornew or used power cats on Marina berth 147 at SouthamptonEach one is built using high quality materials normally only seen in racing boats, including engineered textile glass and Kevlar fabrics, vinylester resin and linear foam cores, as well as cork, a fantastic natural and renewable material. The 695 is built to be light and very strong; we build them light to maximise their efficiency, improving your range and reducing fuel costs. To compensate for this the hulls are 20% Kevlar, increasing strength and impact resistance.
The advantages of a catamaran hull configuration are increased stability, and less rocking while trailing or drifting while the rods are out, and more deck space, allowing for more people and their rods.
The air cushion effect under the wet deck creates a much smoother ride with considerably less slamming, greatly improving personal comfort and allowing you to go out in much rougher conditions, when the slamming a single-hulled boat would endure would become too uncomfortable and displacement speeds too slow.
Twin engine installation gives you the confidence to motor offshore, fishing or diving. Single engine operation is possible with no effect on steering, allowing you to balance running times on the motors to reduce wear and tear and fuel costs, while still having the reliability of having two decent size engines of the same power that will get you back home at over 15 knots on one of them, and get you there quicker if the weather should turn against you
