    Colin Archer Style Ketch

A classic British built long keel centre cockpit wooden ketch yacht.  Designed by David Cannel & built by Leavers Construction on a Colin Archer style yacht.  ’Gypsy Madonna’ Was launched in Brighton in 1978 and has been sailed extensively around the world.  Her original owner brought all the mahogany timber in log form & upon engaging a shipwright, took 4 years to complete.  Her hull is constructed of 3 layers of 3/8 inch mahogany which are resorcinol glued & copper fastened. The masts are of Sitka Spruce which have been hollowed & resorcinol glued.  This is a very solid and capable yacht which will offer any new owner many more years of service.
