    Philosophy
The secret behind the Nauticats is quite simple-the demanding Nordic climate and good taste.
Finnish craftsmanship and the experience gained in building more than 2500 Nauticats have resulted in yachts admired amongst discerning yachtsmen all over the world. The Nauticat range of yachts today is divided into two distinctive groups. The traditional ketch rigged motorsailers and the pilothouse sailing yachts.

No matter the size or type, nauticats have common qualities . They all provide the vision required to command the yacht from inside or outside. The pilothouse of a nauticat offers all around visibility. The pilothouse also offers shelter from burning rays of sun as well as from the freezing wind. That's why a nauticat is suitable for both the Caribbean area as well as the climate in Finland or Alaska. The Nauticats are famous for their comfort, spaciousness and reliability both under sail and power. At the yard there are no shortcuts to quality and therefore the craftsman are dedicated to upholding their reputation for building elegant and individual yachts to highest standards based on their own experience.
A Nauticat always carries you graciously at high speed, anywhere and in any conditions.

And the 33's are perhaps the basis on which Nauticats reputation was built on, Stunningly well built, stiff, stable and safe.

Nauticats are built by Nauticat Yachts Oy in Finland. The yard is situated 40 kilometres from the city of Turku in Southwest Finland. The company has been building yachts over 45 years and today both administration and production facilities are concentrated to Riihikoski. The company has an international chain of skilful and experienced dealers that takes care of world-wide nauticat sales and service.

The story begins in late 1950´s when they moulded their first small fibreglass boats. In 1966 they were asked by some local sailors to build a comfortable 10-metre motorsailer with a proper pilothouse. The Nauticat 33 was born and the designer of this yacht was the Finnish engineer W.Aarnipalo.
The general hull form was nothing exceptionally new , it closely resembled the sturdy Nordic designs often seen battling their way across a stormy Baltic or bedecked with flowers and good cheer during celebrations under the midnight sun.
As the popularity of the Nauticat 33 soared and the company grew, a demand for larger boats was the natural result, leading to the modern Nauticat operation we know and understand.

PREVIOUS OWNERS COMMENTS "We bought the boat nearly 8 years ago just after the birth of our daughter, as we wanted something very secure. The boat needed tender loving care which we were happy to supply.
In 2002 we sailed her down channel from the East Coast to explore the Channel Islands and North Brittany Coast Line. We then passed on down to the Morbihan where we kept her for two years and explored that beautiful area.
We unstepped the masts in 2005 and made our way through the Canal du Midi to Sete, Where she got a nice new paint job. We remained in the Med, wintering in St Tropez (where else, would a lady of good repute take a rest) until 2007. Where upon we lorried her back to St Malo and her home base.
2008 saw us back exploring the Channel Islands and Normandy Coast line.
Calico Jack has seen us proud and looked after a new and growing family. Now we seek new adventures).

CURRENT OWNERS  "A wonderful safe and sturdy family boat, built to extremely high specifications and lovingly maintained. The ideal boat to cope with the UK weather, fabulous in the summer with so much deck space and gloriously cozy in the cooler months."

BROKERS COMMENTS" We thoroughly enjoyed the sale & purchase arrangement of what was a sound and robust  yacht from a well regarded builder. The current owner took a good boat and made it magnificent with many sound and sensible enhancements and upgrades with personal and tasteful input"

This is a boat that we would be proud to own ourselves.
