A Laurent Giles designed GRP ketch rigged centre cockpit motor sailor built in 1971 and launched early 72. An extensive refit was carried out in 2006/7 prior to a circumnavigation. She received an overall repaint in 2014 with underwater sections given a precautionary epoxy treatment.  A solid, seaworthy craft, the equipment and layout are perfect for long-term cruising, holidays, weekending or day sailing round the coast, attention to detail is evident throughout the vessel. She is in excellent condition throughout and viewing is highly recommended.  Contact our Gosport office on 02393 510433

    Owners comments

Cayuco was sailed round the world with her husband and wife crew and as you would expect it is extensively equipped.  In mast main and furling jib can be controlled from the comfortable and spacious cockpit enabling her to be sailed most of the time without going on deck.  The cockpit is also sheltered by a doghouse with a fitted bimini for the hotter climates, all round side screens which can be arranged in any combination completes the cockpit all weather protection.  Cockpit seats are fitted with cushions, backrests and corner in-fills for comfortable sailing; the present owner’s reckon that as you spend 90% of sailing time in the cockpit, it should be a cosy and relaxed place to work from. There are harness clip points in the cockpit, on deck and handholds above and below throughout the vessel. Tailor made granny bars fitted around the mainmast add further security in the event of working on the deck.  A new 75hp Perkins 4236 engine was fitted in 2014.  Recent survey, (2013) available if required.

A solid, seaworthy craft, the equipment and layout are perfect for long-term cruising, holidays, weekending or day sailing round the coast, attention to detail is evident throughout the vessel. She is in excellent condition throughout.
