15ft RANGELEY LAKE BOAT.
Designed to take fishermen out onto the
Rangeley lake around 1910, these boats
had to be stable enough for a client to
stand and fish from, yet fast enough for
a single rower to return many miles to
shore when bad weather hit. The lines were taken
from a book by John Gardner.
Traditionally constructed with copper
riveted red cedar planks, white oak ribs
and mahogany (kaya) stern and trims.
