Telstar - Mk2 (the best one they made!
Telstar Mk2 Cruising Trimaran
I bought her because Telstar is the only trimaran with solid side decks rather than netting – so the decks are completely flat, huge (1m x 4m!) and really safe.
I have put my heart and soul into turning Doris into a new boat - expecting to keep her for 20 years – but is now, suddenly, unexpectedly suddenly for sale as we have bought large cruising catamaran, and will now never use her.
The cost of parts that were new last season, 2014, exceed the asking price! Someone will get a real bargain. She is currently afloat in Falmouth harbour, Cornwall. I fitted a brand new Yamaha outboard (nearly £3,000) which has perhaps 3 hours use. She has new Eberspacher heating, a complete new anchoring system with electric windlass that has both deck switches and radio remote, and a very expensive Raymarine autopilot. She has a custom-built galvanised trailer, so can be taken anywhere.
Everything is new, from the paint to the windows to the upholstery to the winches and sprayhood. All the following were new last season (2015) but she has simply not been used, as we’ve been sailing overseas. This is a very reluctant sale, but we are simply not going to be able to use her for many years now.
The following items were all NEW for the 2015 season - so this isn't just a list of equipment, it is a list of NEW EQUIPMENT. And I may well have forgotten some items, as there are so many!
