Ocean Kayak Peekaboo
Our Opinion
The peekaboo has been a new addition to our fleet this year! - we only have 2 avalible as this was their trial year (we do plan on having more next year as they have been a popular addition to our fleet). It has been designed to carry an adult alone, or an adult with a small child - it is one of the most stable and secure ocean kayaks in our opinion. Its name comes from the viewing window in the center of the boat that allows you to look underwater. It is differnt to most tandems in that the child seat is backward facing (i.e. The child gets to face their parents)
Nb the boat in the pictures is an average hire boat from this year. They have been used for between 6 weeks and 4 months and are in very good condition. There are 2 boats avalible - 1 in orange and another in blue.

Cost
RRP is £549 for a new boat without a backrest.
Ex-hire boats are £390 with a backrest. Ex-hire paddles are avalible for £18, or choose your own from our extensive selection with 20% off.
When you buy a boat you can choose from a range of accessories - all with 20% off, we fell this is a better option than making a package with the cheapest paddle and buoyancy aid we can find.
Collection / Delivery
We allow a 2-3 week period for people to collect their boats, or can arrange delivery. New boats can be delivered straight from our supplier by courier - this will take 2-3 days (free with a new boat).
Engines and inflatable’s can be dispatched via courier and this will be charged at cost. Second Hand Canoes and Kayaks are not suitable for courier (due to size and weight making it cost prohibitive) but we can deliver ourselves to a restricted area (This is done on our days off, and so we require a little flexibility).
Nichol End Marine
Is based on the North Western shores of Derwentwater in the English Lake District (very near Keswick and 19 miles from the M6). We offer boat hire and tuition, a full chandlery, workshop facilities (for wood, GRP and Engines), a Cafe (with famous scones) and Keswick Launch calls regularly. We also have moorings available. We are open from 9am - 6pm, every day apart from Friday and Saturday when we open until 7pm.
Directions
We are about 20 miles west of the M6 on the A66, turn of the A66 at Portinscale then follow the brown signs through the village to Nichol End (about 1/2 mile after Portinscale village on the left hand side) Please do not use sat nav as the postcode area is very large and many people get lost.
