The StepDrive simply replaces the standard centre section of the Volvo Penta 290DP stern drive; offering the following principal advantages:

- Ultra smooth gear engagement and reduced creep speed; or exceptional low speed control when manoeuvring in
today’s busy waterways and crowded marinas.
- Reduced engine noise and vibration, decreased smoke and

minimises inertia loading as the drive is engaged, significantly extending the life of
the driveleg’s forward / reverse clutch.
- An increase in top speed can usually be achieved by changing propeller size.
