With her high bow and canoe stern, there is no mistaking the trawler inspiration behind this chunky but compact sea going boat. Although she has a sailing rig, I think most would agree she is best thought of as a motor-boat, but the sails add an extra dimension when conditions and inclination allow. The current owner has enjoyed the varied and often challenging cruising that the Irish Sea presents with Marna, as well as ventures further north onto Scotland’s West Coast.
Marna benefits from a recently new wheelhouse as well as a fairly comprehensive suite of electronics and navigation aids.
The layout is simple – with the wheelhouse encompassing the helmsman’s seat above the engine box. To starboard is the galley area and going forward the main cabin incorporates a heads enclosure to port and two single berths. In this broker’s opinion, Marna should really be considered to be configured for the enjoyment of a pair of cruising men.
