There are endless opportunities to get involved and try new things, and that’s exactly what visitors are rushing here to do. Hanseboot is designed to appeal to professionals, leisure boaters and newcomers alike. Its location is close to the North Sea and the Baltic and the major inland waters, hence the Northern Lifestyle theme.
Some 24,000 eager and boat-loving visitors piled through the doors on opening weekend, exploring boat halls, outfitting areas and activity centres within in the B-halls of the Hamburg Fair and at the in-water hanseboot harbour.
Particularly popular has been the new Canoe World feature, and the Refit Arena also attracted newcomers, professionals and leisure sailors to the exhibition site. The in-water hanseboot at the City Marina was extremely well attended on Saturday and Sunday too and large number of visitors used the free-of-charge shuttle buses to get from the exhibition site to the hanseboot harbour, and take a look at the big yachts moored there.
Boats on display at the in-water hanseboot at the City Marina am Baumwall cover a range from 2.30m to 17.15m length overall, and cost from a few hundred euros to 1.8 million euros.
Attracting lots of attention is the biggest yacht at this year’s hanseboot - the Moody DS 54, a sailing boat with length overall 17.15 metres. It is presented by Hanse Yachts at boardwalk A4 in the City Marina, with a selling price starting at EUR 635,300.
There is a wealth of information on sailing and boating trends, information on innovations in the marine market, and deep knowledge on hand regarding the latest electronics, rigging, sailwear and navigation equipment.
The Special Event Program at hanseboot is where visitors can learn something new, interface with experts, take time for a break or part in a workshop or try out a new sport. Action packed and lots of fun, especially for kids!
