The 19th Brisbane Sanctuary Cove Boat Show broke all records for the event, with £300 million in boat sales and an attendance of 53,156, the organisers have announced. Leading the field among the companies present at the show was Riviera, Australia's largest luxury boat manufacturer, which sold 31 boats for £70 million, including five of its Riviera 4700 which won the Australian Marine Industries Federation Boat of the Year Award. Meanwhile, Sunseeker sold ten boats for £74 million, while Horizon Motor Yachts pulled in £45 million from the sale of seven boats. Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show general manager Barry Jenkins said: "We were astounded at the number of boats we confirmed were actually sold at the event - and we'd expect numerous sales to develop in coming weeks or months as a direct result of the show. "The confirmed sales are just what we know from exhibitors, we'd expect to hear about further success in coming days." Riviera's success was also capped by the show organisers awarding it Australian Manufacturer of the Year, with other companies picking up awards including Ronstan, Soldiers Point Marina, Telwater, The Haines Group and Powercat Marine.
