Argentex British Motor Yacht Show 2015: British design excellence in the spotlight
For those who prefer a laid-back approach to viewing luxury motor yachts, the Argentex British Motor Yacht Show provides the perfect opportunity, and for 2015 the line-up is well worth turning out for. Described as the ultimate ‘boutique’ pre-season event, the show kicks off this Thursday 14th May, and runs until Sunday 17th May. Designed for serious motor yacht buyers, this show is free to attend, and you can book a private viewing by registering your interest here.
Hosted at Swanwick Marina on the serene Hamble River as it approaches the Solent this is a collaboration between three of the top names in British motor yacht sales, Fairline, Princess and Sunseeker, so visitors can expect to enjoy some outstanding crafts on display.
Top boats at the show for 2015…
• Sunseeker Southampton will be proudly displaying the 86 Yacht (pictured above), the 68 Sport Yacht, the 75 Yacht and more, while colleagues from Sunseeker Poole will be showing off the magnificent Manhattan 65 and 55.
• The Princess Motor Yacht Sales fleet will include the S72 Sportsbridge, the Princess V48, 56, 72 and 82.
• From Fairline Southampton expect to see a number of exciting models at Swanwick Marina including the Targa 38, Targa 48 Open and GT, Squadron 65.
Argentex steps up as title sponsor
Following the success of last year’s British Motor Yacht Show, foreign exchange specialists Argentex have committed their support to the show. Harry Adams, Managing Director, at Argentex said “The yacht market continues to be robust, a testament to the quality of manufacturing provided by the marine industry.”
Alongside the iconic British yacht brands will be a host of handpicked industry-leading exhibitors. Look out for engine manufacturers Finning-Cat, MAN, MTU and Volvo Penta.
Marine electronics supplier Landau UK will also be on hand offering demonstrations and expert advice together with yacht shipping services, Sevenstar Yacht Transport.
For RIB fans, manufacturer Williams Boats will have four high performance tenders on show for visitors to view.
There will also be an exhibition of prestige and luxury car brands including Aston Martin, Bentley, McLaren, Maserati, Rolls Royce and Porsche.
Visitors can soak up the atmosphere at Swanwick Marina, with the added benefit of enjoying live music on the Friday and Saturday evenings from 4.00pm. For a bite to eat there’s an onsite restaurant, The Boat House Cafe.
Pete Bradshaw, Chief Executive at Premier Marinas said: “This show gets bigger and more prestigious each year and I’m delighted that Swanwick Marina, which has recently benefited from a £5.8 million redevelopment, will once again host this collaboration between three of the biggest names in British motor yacht sales.”
