Boot Düsseldorf 2015 Review: Variety and spectacle for 240,200 boating and water sports fans
boot Düsseldorf - the world’s biggest boat and water sports trade fair - drew to a close after nine days on Sunday, 25 January. Organisers say the show has largely fulfilled its exhibitors’ expectations. Certainly good numbers attended, although slightly down on the previous year.
In total 240,200 boating and water sports enthusiasts from around 60 countries travelled to Düsseldorf to view the boat premieres, new water sports gear, equipment and maritime services from 1,741 exhibitors from 57 countries spread over 17 exhibition halls. By comparison: 2014 saw 248,600 visitors attend boot.
What was at all-new boot Düsseldorf?
There’s nothing quite like boot Düsseldorf. This massive boat show covers an incredible 2.35 million square feet of exhibition space and is widely considered to be the most important gathering for the marine leisure industry in the world.
For 2015, organisers of boot pushed the boundaries to ensure the show drew in new target groups, while continuing to delight its traditional audience. Visitors to the 17 halls of the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre (17th – 25th January) have enjoyed a new trade fair design, a packed events itinerary, big nautical themes, incredible onsite experiences and over 100 premieres of boats and yachts. In all 1,700 exhibitors have pulled out all the stops to create a fantastic spectacle. Visitors who love water sports, fishing, luxury yachts, river boating and power boating can’t fail to have been impressed.

During the event, the Ferretti Group displayed four of the most prestigious models in its fleet: the iconic Riva yachts Rivarama Super and Aquariva Super, and two premières for the German market, the Ferretti Yachts 750 and the Pershing 62.
HanseYachts AG from Greifswald were on hand with a huge range of models from the Dehler, Fjord, Hanse, Moody, Sealine and Varianta brands. Two yachts celebrated their world debut: the new Fjord 48 Open and the new Sealine C330.
UK luxury yacht manufacturer Sunseeker presented German debuts of the 86 Yacht, the 75 Yacht, the 65 Manhattan and the 57 Predator, as well as one further craft from the current range of motoryachts: the 55 Manhattan.
And boot hosted the world premiere of Bavaria’s new flagship – the Sport 450 – a motor yacht for people who live for style and luxurious design, said Bavaria.
Experience 360° water sports at boot Düsseldorf 2015
Having fun on the water is still at the heart of the boot Düsseldorf trade fair. So while it was cold and wintry outside, visitors were given a great opportunity to taste the joys of water sports in 20 themed adventure worlds – part of Experience 360° Water Sports. This included Beach World, a Sailing Centre and five action centres with indoor pools, scuba-diving pools and artificial rivers. Nearly all water sports disciplines were available to try out with the help of experts: sailing, diving, stand-up paddling, wakeboarding, canoeing and fishing.
boot Düsseldorf really does offer unbelievable variety and spectacular maritime highlights. Once again it has proved itself place for visitors and exhibitors from around the world to pick up on the latest trends, learn, network, broaden their horizons and enjoy the very latest from the global marine leisure industry.
