Date set for third Horning Boat Show
Good news for East Anglia based fans of boats and getting on the water. The third Horning Boat Show to be held on Saturday 2nd May 2015, and promises to be a fun-packed day for all.
Once again this boat-focused family event should prove a major event on the Norfolk Broads. Horning again opens up it’s iconic Broadland Village which includes the famous Water Front as well as the Village Green, the Swan Green and the Recreation Ground which form the exhibition sites.
On display will be traditional and modern, luxury and affordable motor cruisers, yachts and launches plus inflatables and RIBs. Other exhibitors will include marine insurance and finance providers, hire fleets, yacht brokers, new car distributors and some with broader appeal. A food court will be located on the Recreation Ground while the village’s excellent pubs and restaurants will also be providing special food for the day. The Recreation Ground will also feature a special children’s area where BeWILDerwood and others will provide activities and entertainment for younger visitors.
Horning Sailing Club will be repeating its very successful Try Sailing event where new recruits can try sailing for the first time. Entry to the Boat Show and parking at nearby BeWILDerwood will again be free, but a donation of £1.00 per person would be appreciated. All proceeds go towards local projects and local charities through the Horning Boat Show Community Fund.
Based on attendance figures for the previous two shows, the Horning Boat Show attracts over 5,000 visitors each year, and early indications are that more exhibitors want to be part of this very successful and entertaining annual event.
The Horning Boat Show Website is now open for exhibitor bookings and there will be no increase on last year’s exhibitor fees.
