Liverpool to Host First Northern Boat Show in 2015
The CWM FX London Boat Show recently kicked off an exciting year of UK boat shows, but the first ever Northern Boat Show in June hopes to contend with the established and internationally renowned UK marine trade shows in London and Southampton.
The debut Northern Boat Show will be held in conjunction with the 2015 International Mersey River Festival which will feature a precession of Tall Ships, Royal and Merchant Navy vessels, Narrow Boats and Barges. Around 150 exhibitors are expected to take part displaying everything from Cruising Yachts, Motor Yachts to Dinghies, RIBs and Sports.
The exhibition will be held on the quayside next to the famous Salthouse Dock, a stonesthrow from Tate Liverpool and the Merseyside Maritime Museum. Around 25,000 visitors are expected to visit the city to attend this year’s Northern Boat Show.
Liverpool was chosen as a host city for a new boat show back in 2011 but the withdrawal of major exhibitors due to the recession meant the event was cancelled. The confirmation that 2015 will be the year that Liverpool is able to share its docks as the backdrop for a new UK boat show further supports the current positivity in the UK boat industry.
Compared to other boat shows around the country, tickets for the Northern Boat Show are also very cheap. Early Bird tickets allowing pontoon access to the boats are currently on sale for £2.50 per day and access to the rest of the exhibition will be free to all visitors. You can book your tickets for the event running from the 5-7th of June at www.northernboatshow.co.uk.
