Who doesn’t love a good marina? Boats and Outboards certainly do but we don’t appreciate the prices attached with using them. We’ve counted down to the number 1 most expensive marina in the world, and some of the prices people have paid to berth there!
5: Ibiza Magna, Spain €1,900 per day
In at number 5, it’s the Ibiza Magna marina in Spain, right in the middle of the city at the foot of Dalt Vila. This certainly is the place for superyachts providing 85 berths, allowing space for boats as big as 60 meters long and 10 meters deep. No wonder it costs €1,900
4: Puerto Jose Banus, Marbella Spain - €2,000 per day
Fourth on our list, is the marina located in Marbella, Spain & built in 1970 by Jose Banus, a local property developer, which has since become a luxury complex. At 15 hectares it provides berths for 915 boats. And for when you get back on dry land you have a beach waiting for you just on the other side of the complex. Despite the hefty price tag, this looks truly beautiful!
3: Marina di Portofino, Genova Italy - €2,100 per day
Taking our third spot in the world’s most expensive marina competition is Marina di Portofino, in Genova, Italy. This picturesque marina is famous for it’s traditional looks. Even with it’s large price tag, it is surprisingly on the inexpensive end of our list. They only offer 265 moorings, which allows it to accommodate boats up to 65 metres long.
With its close proximity to the town, the boaters have amazing access to all the local restaurants, bars and shops and what a place! We’ve added this to our bucket list!
2: Marina di Port Cervo, Sardina, Italy - €2,500 per day
In second place at an average of €2,500 per day, is the beautiful Marina di Porto Cervo, located in Sardina in Italy. This marina offers 700 berths for small boats, and is also very well equipped for repairing the largest of luxury boats.
Marina di Porto Cervo is renowned for it’s reputation as one of the best equipped in the whole of the Mediterranean.
Once lucky boaters are on land there is an extremely impressive range of restaurants, shops and hotels to make even the richest of boaters feel at home.
1: Marina Grande, Capri, Italy - €2,900per day
And in pole position, at a whopping €2,900 per day, it’s the Marina Grande, located in Capri in Italy.
Officially this is the most expensive marina on Wealth Bulletins list and known as one of the Mediterranean’s most luxurious getaways for the wealthy.
It’s impressive onshore shopping offering boaters brands such as Gucci, Prada, Ferragama and Pucci, oozing pure luxury and wealth for all it’s visitors. The marina has two basins- one for commercial ships and the other for leisure craft. It has 300 berths which can hold yachts as big as 60 meters long.
At €2,900 per day, this deservedly gets the title of ‘Boats and Outboards most expensive Marina.’
