The World's First Floating Garage
Recently on display at the Monaco yacht show was CRN yachts’ ‘J’ade’, the 60m superyacht feautring the world’s first floating garage.
Aside from its innovative garage, J’ade was a finalist in this year’s show’s interior design award category. Huge glass windows offering great panoramic views keep the concept of being at one with the sea running throughout the design of J’ade. However, the flooded garage feature fully embodies the feeling of being at one with the sea. The hydraulic operated bay inside the garage dries out in three minutes, turning the tender lift into a thing of the past. When the 8-meter Riva Iseo speedboat that it hosts is in use, the garage can be turned into a beach club-style terrace. Watch J’ade’s tender bay in action below.
The fusion of leather, marble, metals and wood throughout J’ade’s interior give both a classic and modern feel. There is also space to host 13 crew members and 10 guests which can be taken on transatlantic journeys thanks to the vessel’s two MTU 12V 1500kW engines. Take a closer look at J’ade below.
