Designed by John Bennet, she is constructed from GRP and is in fine shape. Her condition makes it obvious that she has has loving owners.
She is powered by a 120hp Volvo Penta engine with a Volvo 270 Outdrive. Low hours and regular maintenance make her a wise choice.
As you step on board into her cockpit, you will be impressed with the size and space under her canopy. The helm is set to port and a door leading in to the saloon is located centrally. Two captains chairs allow seating at a higher level and the cockpit has seating for another 4 or 5 at the stern. The helm is well laid out with a grp modern finish. As you step into the cabin, you will notice the amount of space in the boat. The galley is to port and has a good sized wrap around work surface in its own seperate area. Opposite are the heads, complete with a corner sink and hot & Cold shower. A Porta Potti is fitted and on the wall is located a Shaver power point. Forward of the galley is a dinette area with seating for 5 around a drop in table which can also be located in the cockpit area. Opposite is another seating area for 3 or 4. The forward cabin is seperated by a folding door to give privacy. The upholstery is in excellent condition as is the carpet and curtains. A great feeling of warmth is throughout the cabin with the mulberry and beige colour scheme. Hot water is provided via a calorifier from the engine and central heating duct work is in place ready for a heater to be fitted. The calorifier also has an immersion heater fitted for use when mains electric is used. Shore power is fitted, with a doouble socket to the galley and a smart charger for the batteries.
Accomodation is good on the Mirage. A seperate forward cabin has a twin V berth in its own privacy. The main saloon dinette drops into a double by using the table and infill cushions. Opposite, the seating area also converts for 2 berths but this is as a bunk bed where the back rest hinges up to hook into an eyelet in the ceiling. Altogether, 6 berths with plenty of space.
The galley is well laid out with a good amount of work space. To the left is a two burner cooker with oven and grill, above is a stainless steel sink with hot & cold water. Underneath, a 12v/240v fridge is fitted, adjacent to which are an array of drawers and cupboards for storage. Plate racks are provided against the wall on the galley tops.
Included with the sale of 'Limosa' are verious fenders and warps. A danforth anchor and chain are mounted on her bows. Other equipment includes a boat hook, Life ring with line, Radio casette player & smart charger for her batteries. Mounted to the stern is a practical bathing platform with stainless steel ladder leading into the cockpit.
Mounted on the helm are a Plastimo Compass, Echo Sounder and Icom VHF Radio. Navigation lights are fitted also.
Fire Fighting equipment is fitted to Boat Safety Scheme requirements. Her Boat Safety Certificate expires in March 2014. 2 bilge pumps are fitted, one manual and one electric.
A GRP tender is also included complete with oars. (Approx 8' x 4')
