We have staff dedicated to selling, servicing, cleaning and maintaining brokerage boats to ensure your boat gets the same attention and care it has always had. At BHG Marine we aim to offer a complete service, from new purchase, to maintenance, to selling. We understand that many of our clients have little time to sell their boat; we therefore offer a complete brokerage facility from start to finish making sure selling your boat is completely hassle free. What we do:
•Collect the boat if required – costs will be deducted from the final sale price
•Valet the boat – costs will be deducted from the final sale price
•Our experienced service engineers will launch and recover your boat, trial it and record performance figures and engine data, inspect the boat, engine and trailer and notify you of any work that will need doing before the boat is advertised for sale.
•Offer a discount on all parts and service work, that we carry out, required to get the boat up to a saleable condition
•Prepare a professional adverts and take an unlimited amount of professional photographs to send to prospective purchasers.
•Store and display the boat for sale, advertise it on our specialist website as well as several others.
•Show prospective customers around the boat 7 days a week. We are open from New Year to Christmas Eve.
•We are able to demonstrate the boat to people on the water at no additional cost to you.
•Take payment and carry out all the paperwork required once the RIB is sold. •We hold payments in a specific client’s bank account until cleared.
•Finally the most important part - forward a final cheque onto yourself within 3 days of payment clearing!
What it costs
Our commission rates are as follows:
Final sale price less than £5,000 – 10%
Final sale price £5,000 - £10,000 – 8%
Final sale price over £10,000 – 6%
What’s more, we can store your boat absolutely free for 3 months!! If at the end of the 90 agreement period the sold remains unsold you may take it away free of any commission charges.
Our experienced engineers will provide you with a check sheet advising on any work that is recommended to be carried out before the boat is advertised for sale.
