Well here's the truth. Parsun outboards are built in China by Parsun Power Machine Co, a company that has a long history in the manufacturing of 4 stroke engines, Parsun are the main manufacturer of water pumps in china and the third largest manufacturer of 4 stroke petrol generators in the world!!
The build quality of all their produce is excellent, for their outboard range, using the best marine grade aluminium and top quality bearings they use all the right materials to make sure their engines are built to last.
Testing: All parsun gearboxes are tested thoroughly before fitting to the engine, the same with the cylinder head, this is tested run on a dedicated machine before it gets fitted. Finally EVERY parsun outboard is test run for 1 hr in the engine testing bay before being packed for transport. Other manufacturers do batch testing, 1 in 500 units or thereabouts, Parsun test EVERY engine, no excuses.
Paintwork: Quite simply hand finished, there is no better way of ensuring a good paint job and perfect finish, so thant's what parsun do, EVERY engine has 2 layers of undercoat, and 3 layers of top coat hand sprayed and rubbed down by hand in-between each coat for a hard, perfect, corrosive resistant finish which is better than the best machine finished spray job on the market.
warranty and certification: ALL Parsun engines distributed by Marine Imports UK carry a 2 year warranty, each engine in the range carries FULL CE certification and exceeds all EPA emmisions standards for 2007.
