Original Lotus Powered Delta (Aluminum Hull dated 1966)
The boat was once owned by “Mike Costin” owner of Cosworth. Complete with it’s original engine, Lotus 1500cc block, enlarged to over 1600cc, developed to race specification (approx 130hp) by Cosworth Engineering (lightweight pistons, race cam, big valves with uprated springs, ported and gas flowed head and high performance oil pump, etc)
The engine has just been totally rebuilt by a well known historic Formula Ford race engine specialist. It has new pistons, bearings, cam shaft, followers, valves and springs with hardened valve seats for unleaded fuel, all new ignition components, stainless exhaust, new battery and the carbs have been fully rebuilt.
The hull is very clean with a great coat of paint and totally un-rippled. The uphoulstory was renewed last year and a new original type Motolite steering wheel fitted. The prop, shaft and all bearings and seals have been renewed.
Complete with Cockpit cover and road trailer which has been upgraded with larger wheels and new suspension units, bearings & mud guards etc.
Xtreme is probably the quickest Delta around and has been clocked at 48mph (with prop work it is expected to top 50mph)
A truely fantastic condition special boat she is all ready to go for this summer.
