This boat is, I believe, unique to the UK. It was designed by Phil Bolger, the extraordinary American boat designer. It was built by a very talented boat builder in Dundee between 1993 and 1996. Construction is 12mm Marine Ply. The hull is sheathed with glass fibre and painted with epoxy paint. Weight is 650 kilos approx. Spars are Douglas Fir.
Price includes a reliable 3 hp Yamaha outboard, no trailer. Sylvester is in excellent condition, having been entirely repainted and revarnished this winter.
Please note she now has a dark blue hull, with light grey decks. She is a delight to sail and off the wind can outpace many larger boats. With a board up draught of just 12" she is a true sail anywhere boat, ideal for exploring shoal waters and creeks. Easy to beach with her flat bottom, she sits upright on the mud. She will happily trail behind a medium size family car.
The accomodation consists of a small cuddy cabin that can sleep two on air mattresses included. You can also sleep two more in the cockpit, as there are full length cushions and a boom tent also included. The cockpit is huge, I have sailed 7 up before, with everyone seated comfortably. There are 4 watertight storage areas under the seats and quarter deck for all your gear.
She currently afloat at Greenwich, South London, so available for any trial sail. Anchor, warps and fenders included, ready to sail.
