Here we have my grandfathers johnson 9.9hp longshaft outboard. Its a bit tatty but it runs pretty well for the age, that said I dont know anthing about outboards so sold as spares or repairs though it does run and engage gears well. It has 2 modifications, tiller arm removed and a vertical lever fitted to allow the engine to sit in a well on the back of a yacht and the recoil spring has been replaced with a counter turning pull cord so you pull one way to crank the engine the other way to retract, sounds odd but really really works infact its quite ingenious! I will also throw in the original metal fuel tank (no hose) and Jonhson service manual that is tatty but fully readable.
