Though it’s categorized as a sport boat, the Select EX fits into the Sea Ray marina as a “premium luxury” model — yet despite its limousine features, the sports car roots run deep. This is one fun ride. Including the party-size extended swimstep, she measures 26' 6"x 8' 6" — dimensions that allow impressive interior space, with ample storage below deck, beneath seat cushions and within the helm console. Plus, an easily accessible head housed in the passenger console allows more time on the water. And rather than a small door to wedge through to enter the head, the entire console swings away, granting spacious access. Bow seating has a familiar look, and two captain’s chairs are comfortable with the bolsters up or down. An L-shaped bench starts behind the passenger chair and flows across the stern, ending at the starboard gunwale to make room for a wet bar, complete with Corian countertop.
There is also a Sirius satellite radio receiver and an MP3 player hookup. Sea Ray’s Water Sports Tower is a fiberglass-and-aluminum unit that serves a triple purpose.
