Slipper stern launch (HAM008)
Year Of Build: 1937
Golden Glory is a fine example of an early Andrews Slipper Stern Launch built in 1937. She has the elegant lines and shape of the thirty foot pre war Andrews slippers, with a large cockpit ideal for entertaining. Golden Glory was built in 1937 at the famous Andrews boat yard in Bourne End and recorded as boat number 173. She retains many of her original features including the original Austin Healey 6 cylinder Tornado engine rebuilt in 2006. Golden Glory has been renovated and refurbished a number of times during her history most recently for the current owners by Rupert Latham's Norfolk yard. In 2003 extensive work was undertaken there, with some 1200 hours being spent on her restoration. Her pristine condition has been painstakingly maintained each winter since that the initial rebuild. She is moored locally in Hurley and participates annually in the Traditional Boat Rally in Henley-on-Thames. For sale afloat with a current river licence and Boat Safety Scheme Certificate.
