JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is looking to expand their team of self motivated designers, with the input of world recognised Naval Architects and Designers to detail and develop the designs of Production Yachts such as Moody and Fjord Motorboats
You will be joining part of a 50 person strong Design and Development team taking new yachts from concept through to fully detailed production models.
You will have enthusiasm and a practical approach to design work.
Ideally you will have formal design training, 2D & 3D CAD experience and some practical grounding in yacht building; with two to three years experience in the design field
Further knowledge of CAD Packages such as PRO E, Rhino or Solid Works would be beneficial.
Experience in the small craft industry before or after training will be beneficial as will personal sailing experience.
Attention to detail is an essential part of this role
Design and development information is primarily in written and spoken English.
Fluency in English is a requirement
A good working knowledge of German will be beneficial.
Basic spoken German will be needed in day to day life at the very least.
This would suite someone who has recently graduated from a industrial placement orientated degree; or already with a couple of years working experience.
Qualifications:
Degree / HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related subject
SALARY
£20,000 Approx
This is negotiable depending on the skills and experienced offered by the individual.
