JOB DESCRIPTION
A successful distributor of a variety of well known Outboard Engines, Sports Boats and other watercraft as well as ATVs are now recruiting for a new Marine OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Specialist
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Admin Based:
Proactively manage & maintain OEM contacts
Coordinate efforts for Boat Shows and other events
Coordinate with their Distribution Centre in, Belgium regarding demo units, OEM requests, and rigging items
Assist with the coordination and organizing of key, local market trial events to ensure that OEMs are present
Project Based:
Assist in strategic selection of key OEMs for pan-European deployment
Identify new boat building partners
Participate in negotiations with potential partners & ensure all necessary follow ups are completed
Keep track of all key players and provide small background on each player (size, types of boats, engine needs, consumer desires for their boats, etc)
Relevant Education and Experience Required
Good knowledge of outboard or OEM boat builder business
Understanding of 2-tier & 3-tier distribution models & operating in complex, international business environment; knowledge of European markets, rules and regulations
Experience working in a commercial office environment.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Fluent English essential, French is highly desirable, and good knowledge of the other languages would be an asset
