Originally this model of boat was marketed and described by its manufacturer as an RCD Categeory C Craft for Coastal Waters (For upto Force 6 wind strength and 2 metre significant wave heights). Please be aware, one such craft was involved in an accident in October 2005 in UK Coastal Waters. The findings of subsequent investigation discovered that the accident was a result of a combination of circumstances, including operator misuse, but required the boat to no longer be considered suitable for RCD Category C Coastal Waters and should only be considered for sheltered inshore waters. The full accident investigation report is available from the Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB).
