This item has been sold We have never offered a boat of this standard in our 18 years as yacht brokers.
This is a true classic which has been with the same owner since 1972 and has recently completed the most comprehensive 15 year re-fit imaginable. There are other yachts of this type available…and all will be available for significantly less money than this example…but not one of them will come close to the quality of that which is being offered here…

Summary
Selene Fair should not be considered by anyone who will compare her to a modern 27 foot yacht in terms of space, speed and styling…if you are looking for features such as an aft cabin, 6 berths, a spacious heads compartment with a shower, hot water and the promise of low maintenance…buy another yacht.
If you want steady performance and classic lines from a yacht in good condition that has been well maintained – you should not struggle to find it – and you will find it at a much lower asking price than Selene Fair’s
However, if you are looking for something truly unique, and you realise that genuine quality comes at a price and also know that steel and wood cannot be neglected like GRP can, then you could well be the one to reap the benefit and derive the pleasure from what has been one of life’s true labours of love.
The result of such a lifetime’s dedication is a yacht that despite her compact size, behaves like a much larger vessel. She sails like a dream and drives through the water under power like a destroyer - as a passage making sea boat she is second to none for her size.
She is warm, dry and comfortable at sea – she doesn’t vibrate, rattle or leak and a walk round the decks is like a stroll on the promenade of the RY Brittania – after all, she is from the same era.
Selene Fair is very reluctantly for sale as the owner’s family (and grand-children!) need a slightly larger vessel.
Selene Fair is lying indoors in Preston (approx 5 miles from Preston Marina). Viewing is strictly by prior appointment and will be accompanied by her owner.
A survey conducted in June 2003 is available for inspection.
The price for Selene Fair can be discussed with the owner.
A more comprehensive set of details can be supplied upon request.
