Built in 1963 by Brooms of Brundall, ‘Belinda’ has been in private ownership and has had considerable money spent on her with the work undertaken by possibly the best wooden boat repair yard in Norfolk, namely Colin Buttifant of Womack water.
The extensive work carried out at Buttifant’s included replacing the keel section in oak, replacement of planking port forward, port midships, starboard aft and a lower hull scrape and antifoul.
Entering ‘Belinda’ is like stepping into another world, full of old-fashioned charm and character.
‘Belinda’ is thought to be in 100% sound condition as of today’s date. Her previous owner had both a BSSC with any necessary work completed and also a new stainless steel fuel tank and shore power with marine battery charger fitted. She is powered by a Perkins 4.108 diesel engine.
She has 2 berths in 1 cabin. Galley comes complete with stainless steel sink, Hot & Cold water, Gas cooker with oven and grill, also a 12 volt cool box. ‘Belinda’ retains many original features.
‘Belinda’ was originally fitted with a four cylinder petrol Ford engine but was re-engined with the Perkins diesel she has now and the Borg Warner Velvet gearbox was adapted to fit the Perkins.
