John Woolley - Clinker built narrowboat

Grand Junction is a 37ft clinker built wooden boat

Built in 1968 by John Woolley originally as a day trip boat on the Thames she was later turned into a liveaboard boat and spent much of her time at Iver boats on the Grand Union canal. This is a unique little boat.
We purchased her roughly 10 years ago as a live aboard and spent many years living and cruising the west Midlands canals but due to personal circumstances.....family/work commitments we find ourselves unable to give her the time and skills she needs though this will break my heart but at this point it is the best thing to do for Grand Junction.
    A few points of interest....
She has a leaky Hull, we have dry docked her several times but never managed to successfully stop all of the leaks although we did stop many of them. We suspect she has been hit at some point and has a hole on port side which we have made a temporary repair to. Unfortunately she sank, due in part unfortunately to our neglect, we have since refloated her and have dried out the engine so nothing is seized and the engine is running. There's every likely hood she will need some planks replacing soon.
She has 1 rule bilge pump and float switch on port side and we have a back up bilge pump on starboard for emergencies.
Before she sank 12 volt electrics were working to lights, shower and water pumps.
We have installed 210 watt solar panels consisting of 2 x 40 watt panels, 1 x 50 watts and 1 x 80 watt panel with MPPT charge controller split over 2 leisure batteries that have the bilge pumps only attached at present.

    From stern to bow...
    1.5 BMC engine
    2 12 volt battery
2 x lockers 1 containing red gas bottle, 1 for storage
Home made awning that has faded with the sun but apart from some attention to the door section is still very usable if required. This does in fact give an extra bit of space especially during the winter months and we have managed to successfully cruise with it up under the majority of the bridges we have encountered.

    Living room area...
Raised area for Wood burning stove, stove not supplied.

    Small galley
Gas hob and oven with integrated grill
Electric fridge (not known if this works)
    Sink with mixer taps
    Storage under
    Solid oak work top

    Opposite is the shower cubicle/heads
    With 12 volt shower

Separate bedroom area to bow but no bed/ mattress

Large water tank with water pump in cratch with cratch cover
Anchor, pegs, windlass, 1 small 2 stroke generator (not working but may be fixable)
    Headlight

She really needs dry docking and tending to, she also will need a BSS and it would be advisable to get her bottom surveyed as well as blacking so that fully comp insurance can be gained (we only have third party)
She needs a lot of TLC inside and out, floorboards are up and it's a bit of a mess inside.
Also please note the photos were taken a few years ago and are just to demonstrate space and size inside and out.

License has expired so this will need to be sorted as soon as possible. She currently has an order by CaRT to remove her from the canal system if a license isn't purchased.
Currently has a home mooring in West Midlands on North Stratford canal with a lovely canal community but would need to negotiate with the moorings manager if you wanted to remain there.

Someone out there would make the ideal partner for this gorgeous little boat, I wish I could give her the time she needs but it's just beyond me right now.
So if you would like to give her your time she will reward you with happy memories.....be prepared to spend some time and money on her though!

Sensible offer accepted.....viewing can be arranged.
