Mineeha is a MK II Iroquois catamaran, well renowned for being comfortable yet fast catamarans. She has been a joy to own, taking us between the UK and Biscay France and everywhere in-between for many years, where her speed under sail has made light work of passages and her shallow draft and ability to take the ground have made the most out of every cove and estuary we ventured to explore. Combined with the flexibility to comfortably host two adults along with our toys (windsurf equipment, surfboards, bicycles etc) or 4+ adults in the various cabins, we have never been left wanting for anything more from a boat. We are only selling her as we are moving abroad.
Note that Mineeha has low aspect ratio keels rather than daggerboards, which allows her to safely take the ground and simplifies sailing. She has 2 small doubles in aft cabins, one single berth forward and the saloon table can convert into a further double. The galley is fitted with stainless steel double sink, Plastimo gas cooker, 3 way fridge. There are two stainless steel water tanks aft under the berths, which are pumped to sinks in the galley and head.
The boat has been stored out of the water every winter, and typically has been used extensively throughout the summer. We have not raced her. She is currently securely sheltered in St Just on a drying berth, with direct access to the Carrick Roads and Falmouth Bay.
The previous owner put significant effort into modernising the rig and electronics, as well as giving her superstructure a new coat of paint. Over our years of tenure, we have put a huge amount of work into brightening her up, to make her into a boat to be proud of and comfortable to spend many (many) hours on.
Work has included:
A full professional hull topside re-paint, with the industry leading Awlgrip paint system.
The underwater has had a full epoxy sealer coat applied to protect the hull, and re-antifouled each year with International’s Interlux Micron 66.
Port aft cabin coated with Mascot Marine-DTM coating to provide insulation without adding weight.
New carpeting in saloon.
New carpeting on cabin sides.
Cabin soles and bulkheads re-painted.
Sails and rigging:
She is a mast head Bermudan sloop with aluminium spars, new Eurospars boom in 2011. New standing rigging 2010. Sails include slab reefed mainsail by Ullmans with 3 reefs made in 2011, furling genoa with UV strip also by Ullmans made in 2010, and multicoloured spinnaker with snuffer (age unknown). Also includes original main sail (age unknown). Plus good selection of winches.

As with any boat of her age, the new owner is likely to want to add their own touch to Mineeha, and continue to make improvements and address maintenance that they see are necessary, but she is ready to sail as is and will no doubt delight from the first day....Read full description
