"Flying Fish" is a river launch steeped in history, including times spent at the Royal London Yacht Club and many years in Cowes owned by the Port Officer for the Ocean Cruising Club.
The vessel is built with mahogony planking with steamed American Elm timbers fore and aft stringer, one mahogany cross thwart, mahogany stern benches, mahogany bottom boards and mahogany bearers.
The craft is powered by a Stuart Turner two cylinder, two stroke petrol engine having Dyna start and Dynamo charging. Ignition is by coil and magneto. Steering is provided by a small gunwhale mounted bronze wheel operating stainless steel flexible steel wire rope through guides to tiller under the stern sheet aft.
The external condition of the hull is excellent, topsides are varnished and underwater areas are sheathed.
Internally the craft is in fantastic condition with a small fuel tank fitted forward in the forecastle locker.
This boat boasts original fittings and features, lots of chromed bronze deck fittings have survived the years including a delightful port and starboard navigation light on the bow. A complete package with a new road trailer, all in lovely condition and ready for the summer.
