For Sale and Restoration. Classic 1939 Woodnutts 24ft 7" cruising yacht restoration project £1000

24ft 7" Classic cruising yacht designed and built by Woodnutts in 1938. Woodnuts also built the Sunbeam and X boat classes designed by Westmacott and there is a clear family resemblance. Remarkably spacious for her size and an excellent pedigree.

According to a manuscript written by Paul Rawlinson, who supplied a manuscript for a Classic Boat article on Woodnutts, the yard was "accredited with the design of one of the last yachts built before the war (1938). Her name was Phyllida (see photographs), a transom stem Bermudan stem head sloop for Mrs Shirley Adams of Regents Park, London. 24.7' (7.53m) x 22.0' (6.71m) wl x 7.5' (2.29m) b x 3.7' (1.13) d with 340 square feet of sail and a single cylinder Stuart Turner petrol engine fitted." ( http://rlymyc.org.uk/…/d1896…/Paul_Rawlinson _s_Article.aspx…)
