    Motor BoatsCruisersunder offerBeneteau

The Beneteau Swift Trawler 34 was an instant success, following up on the popular Swift Trawler 42 but in a smaller, more manageable, and far more fuel-efficient package! Upon launch, it won Motorboat of the Year thanks to its superb decks with asymmetric design and easy access starboard doors, comfortable interior, and stylish looks combined with an efficient, sea-kindly hull. Falcon is fitted with the supremely reliable Cummins QSB 5.9L engine and has a high level of equipment including bow and stern thrusters, diesel heating, holding tank, electric anchor winch, upgraded Raymarine navigation pack including autopilot, Onan generator, Flexiteek 2G to cockpit and flybridge soles (new 2020), copper coat antifouling (new 2020), and more! Competitively priced and presented in very good ready-to-enjoy condition, Falcon has benefited from regular use and meticulous maintenance since new, with two experienced owners and main agent engine servicing, she is likely to be one of the best available.  Viewing by appointment only through our Essex office on - Click here to reveal phone number -

    Accommodation
The Beneteau Swift Trawler 34 offers comfortable sleeping accommodation for up to 6 in two cabins plus the saloon, with 6'5" of headroom available in most areas. OWNER'S CABIN: Fitted with a large (6'6" long) central double berth, two large hanging lockers, two cupboards, beneath berth storage, dressing seat, mirror, reading lights, two opening portlights, and an opening hatch to foredeck (all with curtains or blinds).  GUEST CABIN: To port, consisting of two single bunk berths and a storage cupboard, this cabin is also perfectly suited to providing easily accessed additional storage for long term cruising, and is fitted with two opening portlights and an opening hatch (all with curtains or blinds).  HEADS: Separate moulded compartment to starboard with a quiet flush electric marine toilet (with Y-valve for switching between overboard and into an 88L holding tank), shower area with curtain, washbasin, storage cupboard, mirror, opening portlight, and opening hatch (both with curtains or blinds). SALOON: Featuring a large settee aft to starboard (easily converts to a double berth) with a dining table and two stowable directors chairs making comfortable space for four, with a large sideboard opposite providing lots of storage and space for entertainment equipment. Forward to starboard is the ergonomically designed helm position with leatherette upholstered bench seating for two, storage areas, and a handy access door for quick, safe access to the side deck, where a further side door in the hull allows for easy short-handed mooring. Superb natural light and ventilation is provided by the all-round windows (three of which open) and multi-section sliding aft door allowing the saloon to feel like part of the cockpit. Entertainment is provided by a built-in stereo system and an LCD TV with DVD and Glomex aerial.  GALLEY: The U-shaped galley is forward to port and equipped with a two-burner gas hob, separate gas oven, 130L front-opening fridge, and twin stainless steel sinks with hot, cold, and separate stainless steel filtered drinking water tap. Easily accessed storage is provided in drawers and a large cupboard, with good work surfaces for food prep and a glass splashback separating the galley from the sideboard. A particularly nice feature of the galley is how sociable it is, allowing for entertaining onboard without feeling separated from guests, or just washing up with a view!  GENERAL EQUIPMENT: Alpi Mahogany cabinetry with complimenting wood veneer soleboards, taupe cotton upholstery, curtains or blinds throughout. Webasto diesel fired heating system. Hot and cold pressurised water system throughout via a calorifier with immersion coil. EXTERIOR: The aft cockpit area is accessed via a multi-section sliding glass saloon door and has aft seating, a large lazarette, and steps up to the flybridge which also provides shelter from sun and rain to the cockpit, and makes the aft canopy enclosure very secure and easily deployed. On the flybridge forward to starboard is the helm position, with a sociable seating area and table to port. Aft is a large flat area which can be used for sunbathing, or as a dinghy stowage area when used in conjunction with the traditional trawler mast. The asymmetric design makes for excellent deck access, particularly to starboard where the wheelhouse helm and hull side doors are found, whilst aft is an offset transom door to the generous bathing platform, making mooring or dinghy access very easy. A full compliment of exterior cushions for the cockpit, flybridge, and foredeck sunbathing pad are included, upholstered in cream heavy-duty marine leatherette. Falcon has also just had the highly regarded Flexiteek 2G synthetic decking laid in the cockpit, on the flybridge and down the starboard deck, giving the impression and classic looks of teak without the maintenance!
    Mechanical Systems
Located under wheelhouse sole in a sound-insulated, ventilated engine compartment, Cummins QSB 5.9L 425hp six-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Electronic engine controls at both helms. Full engine instrumentation with smart gauges. Shaft drive to semi-tunneled five-bladed propeller (coated with Propspeed 2020) for optimum efficiency. Lenco remote control trim tabs (coated with Propspeed 2020) with controls at both helms. Max Power bow and stern thrusters with controls at both helms (a walkaround remote control could easily be added for even easier short-handed mooring if required). The engine has been maintained to a very high standard by the local Cummins main agent, with a full service in June 2020 and only light use since. Although the engine hours are higher than average at 2,200hrs to date (will increase gently as still in use), this equates to a healthy 300hrs a season. Due to the inherently durable and reliable nature of the Cummins QSB engine range (well documented online, and regularly chosen for high usage commercial operation) there are no considerations for work outside of the usual servicing and general maintenance advised to be scheduled before reaching at least 5,000hrs, and if maintained to the same high standard 10,000hrs+ is considered likely before more major works are required.

    Broker's Comments
The Beneteau Swift Trawler 34 proved an instant success for Beneteau, and thanks to the popularity of this and the original 42 the range has now developed to be one of the most desirable in their sector of the motorboat marketplace. The Swift Trawler 34 is designed to be an efficient, easily handled, and sea-kindly cruising yacht using a semi-displacement hull combined with a semi-tunneled propeller design for increased efficiency, cruising happily between 8-17kts, with more available if you need to get there faster. Combine this with the clever asymmetric deck design with class-leading easy access both to the boat itself and wheelhouse helm and it is easy to see why they are so desirable, especially on the brokerage market when compared to new boat prices. Falcon has been meticulously maintained from new, with regular servicing, cleaning, and upgrading. Her first owner sold to move to a Swift Trawler 44 to meet family needs, and her second owner is also now looking to move to a larger cruiser for similar reasons. Both are experienced and knowledgeable boat owners, we are confident that she is one of the best around, and is priced very competitively to reflect her higher engine hours despite this possibly being an advantage!
