We are very privileged to offer this beautiful Bowman 48 to market.

Now located out of the water in Falmouth, UK.
Much loved and cared for all her life, she presents in a condition of a vessel much younger. The presentation follows throughout the boat with every bilge and locker cleaned & maintained to the highest level. She is extensively equipped for long distance blue water sailing and has undergone a continuous upgrade program by her current owners.
Please read through the specifications carefully to understand her layout and integrity.
Please also view the 360 degree panoramic viewing system on the Red-Ensign.com web site.
We have high resolution pictures available on request.
Please speak to Simon about this beautiful yacht.
    DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION
Designed as a shorthanded performance cruiser, the elliptical bulbed keel ensures a stiff responsive yacht with easy pitching motion and draft of just 5ft 10in. Reinforced with longitudinal stringers, the GRP hull provides a structure which conforms to the highest 100A1 specification recognized by Lloyd's Register of Shipping. For added safety, the hull is constructed with a watertight bulkhead between the forward stowage locker and the forward cabin. Built by craftsmen, many 48s have sailed the oceans of the world in comfort and safely, affording their owners immense pride of ownership. This is one of the most outstanding ocean-going yachts in her class, proven to be “a sailing yacht designed to go anywhere, at any time, without problems” (Yacht Premier).

    OWNERS COMMENTS
Much admired, Longbow of Itchen has given great pleasure to both own and sail. She is now offered for sale, as we reluctantly make the move towards a motor yacht. Throughout, she has lived up to the 48’s reputation for a safe and comfortable motion at sea. Also, for ease of handling, often by my wife and I alone. Extensively fitted out and meticulously maintained, she comes with a catalogued collection of plans, diagrams and manuals.
