Maxi 95, built in 1979. She is an ideal family cruiser with three double berths providing spacious accommodation for 6/7 in 3 cabins. She features a centre-cockpit design with a spacious aft cabin, and the best cockpit layout in the business with plenty of seating and a very good cockpit table. The excellent sailing performance and robust design is why Sunsail chose Maxi 95s as their flotilla lead boats for many years, and many are still in service now as support boats in the Eastern Med. The owner is selling her fully equipped and ready to sail. The mooring on Hamble River may be available by separate negotiation. NOW ASHORE AT THE LARGEST SALES YARD ON THE SOUTH COAST, AND AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING 7 DAYS A WEEK 5 MINS FROM M27 J8Construction
Built by Mölynkce Marin AB in Sweden in 1979 to designs by Pelle Peterson
Launched 1980 and was one of the last Maxi 95s constructed.
Hull, deck and superstructure are constructed in GRP.
Hull Coppercoated in 2014
The keel comprises a lead and epoxy resin mix cured within the hull which completely avoids the risks associated with bolt-on keels.
The hull moulding includes the skeg which securely supports the rudder top and bottom.
The propshaft runs through the keel with minimal propeller overhang avoiding the delicate “P” bracket arrangement commonly used on similar boats.
The keel and skeg configuration makes for a fast and extremely robust cruiser.
Wheel steering is chain driven using cables in conduits to the quadrant in the aft cabin and there is an emergency steel tiller which can be fitted directly to the quadrant in the aft cabin and operated from the helmsman’s position.
The original teak decking covers the cockpit floor. LOA 9.5m / 32'

Volvo Penta inboard diesel, 23HP, MD11c
Electric and handstart system comprising decompression levers and hand crank.
In the saloon, the engine is positioned under the table which can easily be completely removed to provide full 360 degree access for maintenance. This arrangement makes it easy to keep the engine in great condition.
In 2014 new piston rings were fitted to the engine, the valves were ground and injectors serviced, as a result of which this engine has continued to operate perfectly and is always easy to start, even in mid-winter. It can also be started by hand which is a significant safety consideration, not available on modern engines.
Since 1995, the engine has been maintained by the owner. At the end of each season, the engine oil is replaced.
Oil and fuel filters are replaced every 50 operating hours. Injectors are serviced and exchanged approximately every 5 years
