I have my little Nelson 29 fishing boat for sale as i have bought another boat.
I shared this boat for the last 20 years in dover marina with my friend who sadly passed away this year.
I have started the restoration of her, including re painting, varnishing, re wiring and once the new boat arrives i will complete the lower half once she is out of the water including full anti fouling.
She has a Ford Sabre 180 engine, recon gearbox fitted this year and recent new prop and shaft.
The engine is a bit smokey on start up and low revs, which i have never been able to cure even after rebuilding all injectors and totally cleaning all intake pipes. Someone told me it could just be the pump timing which i am not experienced enough to tackle.
She has a Navman 8120 plotter/fish finder, vhf radio and a Ray marine plotter , fish finder with 3d down vision.
She has a Mz Electronic anchor winch.
Lower cabin has a Flavel Vanessa cooker/grill 2 ring cooker, small sink, table and sleeping for 2. (i have had to live on her for the last 6 months hence the new boat) storage under the seats.
She has 12v and 240v consumer units( which will need tidying up) but as i am putting her back to her original fishing boat purpose i haven't had chance yet to sort it.
She has a small solar panel and controller to keep drive batteries charged whilst not in use which means she can be left unplugged on her moorings for long periods.
I have fitted led lights throughout including on the outer deck for night fishing although she could do with a couple of front facing lights for night travel.
On the deck there is a 180ltre fuel tank covered by a stainless cabinet which doubles as a baiting and storage area for tackle etc, 6 x rod holders on the sides and 3 in the back, stainless rod stands for 6 rods on the end of the fuel tank housing for when not fishing.
She is a solid Nelson hull with loads of life left in her, (any survey welcomed)
I have a sentimental attachment to this little boat and would like it to go and carry on giving someone the fun and great fishing days we had on her, but due to my circumstances changing this year i have to let her go.
Any viewings are welcome at Gillingham marina.
I will answer any questions honestly
