The attached photo of a recent article from Practical Boat Owner features Nexus as it’s main photo.

She has been a wonderful boat while we had a young family, safe and stable with a 100%* reliable relatively new engine (*it has never failed to start first turn of the key, or had any issue).

We bought her in 2012 from a local man who was retiring from sailing, as a retired airline pilot he had meticulously looked after the most important aspects. Including recently fitting a new Beta BD1005 three cylinder 28 hp engine.

He sold it with everything included and we will do the same. Including, but not limited to:

    Echopilot depth and speed gauge
Bespoke lazy jacks made by ocean rigging
Bespoke sail stack pack made by Sanders sails.
    Navigator tender
    Simrad RT1400 vhf receiver
    Autohelm 1000 tiller pilot
    Spare sails (main and genoa)
    Lots of spare ropes
    Lots of fenders
    Brass clock and barometer
7.5kg bruce pattern kedge Anchor, chain and rope
    12V charging points
Pole for goosewinging the genoa (a very comfortable point of sail for nexus, combined with a gybe preventer her long keel sails smoothly through any swell.
Lots of tools, spare parts, including engine spares and relevant cleaning products
Yellow Horseshoe safety buoy with floating light
    Aluminium extending boat hook
Deck mounted safety lines for attaching harnesses to.
An excellent deepwater mooring in Keyhaven River - potentially available subject to agreement with river warden (which we can help with)

She has been looked after well by our local Keyhaven boatyard, including recent engine service ,with all works documented and receipted.

NOTE Fisher are still producing a modern version of the boat based on an identical hull, starting at £120,000, she has received excellent reviews in the sailing press. Some quotes below:

"If you want something that's small in terms of overall length, yet with the feel and comfort of a substantially larger boat, the Fisher has little competition. Such is her reputation that almost every cruising sailor knows what she is and what she stands for. This is a motor sailor in the traditional sense. Neither a motorboat with a token rig nor a sailing yacht with a deck saloon, she'sa true 50/50"

"The Fisher demonstrates a capability that belies her modest size"

"If any boat deserves to be described as a timeless classic, it must surely be the Fisher 25. With her high bow, jaunty sheer, chunky rubbing strake and ketch rig, she's one of the most unmistakeable and enduring popular little boats afloat.
But apart from her engagingly purposeful appearance, what is it that makes this heavyweight motor sailer stand out? Perhaps her bulletproof construction, renowned seakeeping qualities, easy motion, competence under sail, roomy accommodation and ability to punch into almost any weather under power.
Then of course there's the pride that comes from owning a characterful craft that almost anyone could imagine pottering around in contentedly at some stage of their lives no matter what sort of sailing they enjoy."
