This Aquastar 38 offers so much space and accommodation for its size that it would make an excellent liveaboard. Built in 1987 & fitted with twin Volvo TAMD61A diesel engines each giving 306 HP, this particular boat has been well loved and is in need of a little TLC, so is being sold as a project boat but with a small “P”. However, she still runs smoothly and has recently crossed from the IOW and has been maintained & upgraded by her current owners with a new radar fitted and regular oil & filter changes completed. With excellent sea keeping ability and a proven record in adverse weather these boats have the same hulls as the Dover Pilot Boats. With 6 berths including a huge aft cabin with its own en-suite, large forward cabin, second heads, dinette & galley as well as a spacious saloon with lower helm. She would benefit from painting her decks & will need one of her heat exchangers replaced in the near future as well as general tidying up but with some TLC will make an amazing boat. She is currently lying in Southampton & is available for viewings through Aspire Boat Sales.

This Aquastar 38 has so much potential and offers a plethora of opportunity for her next Owner at an extremely attractive price. Although being sold as a project boat, this is a project with a small “p” and is therefore being sold as it is, hence the low price. Her engines run and have had fuel and filter changes recently and her important systems are operational. She recently made passage from IOW to Southampton without issue. However, with some TLC and a bit of work, it has the basis of a boat that will make an excellent liveaboard or a solid and sturdy cruiser to take on longer passages. With all the space she offers there is plenty of room for your friends and family to share the experience. She would even make an excellent committee boat for racing or events. Her aft Cabin has its own en-suite bathroom and full headroom throughout and her forward cabin is spacious and comfortable. She has a good size galley with all that you should need including a dinette table and seating for Crew meals and she also has a large saloon area with ample seating. Powered by twin 306 HP Volvo TAMD 61A diesels she can cruise comfortably at 12 / 14 knots and has a lower helm for inclement weather or aft deck controls for the sunshine. With a Chart Plotter, Radar, 2 x VHF radios one including AIS and an autohelm, she is well equipped to go to sea. Given her hull is the same as used by Dover Pilots, this Aquastar 38 will cope with heavy seas and inclement weather with ease.
